Job summary

Fellowship Square Christian Care in Mesa, AZ seeks a Director of Dining Services to oversee all aspects of food service for independent living, assisted living, and long-term care residents. You will lead menu planning with nutritionists, manage dining room operations, ensure safety, sanitation, and high-quality service, and collaborate with nursing and activities staff to meet dietary needs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field, a certified food service manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Nutrition, or related field.
• Must be a Certified Food Service Manager recognized by Arizona (e.g. ServSafe).
• 5+ years in food service management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in healthcare, senior living, or long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards for senior populations.
• Leadership, training, and motivating a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Dining Services: manage all food service operations, including meal prep and dining room service for residents with dietary needs.
• Menu planning: work with nutritionists and kitchen team to create compliant menus.
• Supervise staff: hire, train, and supervise food service staff while upholding safety standards.
• Ensure compliance: follow health and safety regulations in all operations.
• Manage budget: control food costs and budgeting for dining services while maintaining quality.
• Resident satisfaction: interact with residents and families to ensure dining experiences meet expectations.
• Inventory management: oversee inventory to maintain stock levels and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with teams: work with nursing and activities staff to integrate dietary needs into resident care plans.
• Maintain facility: ensure kitchen and dining areas are clean, safe, and organized.
