Job summary

CASA of Fort Wayne Health Care Campus is seeking a Director of Dining Services to lead the dining operations, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality meals for residents. The role includes budgeting, purchasing, sanitation, and coordinating with dietary and clinical teams to meet dietary needs.

The successful candidate will oversee menu planning, staff development, and regulatory compliance while promoting a safe, clean dining environment and a positive resident experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a dining services department in a healthcare or senior living environment.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing food service in long-term care.
• Experience managing staff, budgets, and inventories in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, orient, train, schedule, and supervise Dining Services employees.
• Maintain staffing coverage for the department.
• Monitor attendance, approve timecards, and perform evaluations.
• Oversee food production, kitchen operations, tray lines, dining rooms, and dishwashing areas.
• Ensure meals meet residents' dietary needs and safety standards.
• Coordinate diets with Dietitian and clinical team.
• Make menu substitutions and document changes.
• Maintain sanitary environment per standards.
• Track meal counts, requests, supplies, expenditures, invoices, and inventory.
• Control budgets and reduce waste and costs.
• Conduct routine inspections and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and enforce Dining Services policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with Administrator to support campus operations and resident satisfaction.
