Job summary

Morrison Living is hiring a Dining Services Director to lead the community’s food and beverage operations, ensuring resident and client satisfaction with high-quality cuisine and hospitality, while meeting financial goals.

You will oversee development and implementation of departmental strategies, manage budgets, ensure health compliance, and champion a positive work environment with a strong focus on service excellence.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable.
• Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, client, customer, and associate levels.
• Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
• Proficient computer skills to include various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, and the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement overall operating strategy aligned with Compass Community Living and client business strategy.
• Own the on-site leadership and drive service behaviors with accountability across the team.
• Maintain professional demeanor and problem-solve during stressful periods; adapt as needed.
• Perform daily walkthroughs to ensure Department of Health and Compass Group standards compliance.
• Direct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs.
• Lead pre-meal briefings and staff meetings to ensure clear communication.
• Oversee budgeting and financial performance; review financial reports to meet targets.
• Hire, train, and mentor dining services leadership to deliver best-in-class hospitality.
