Job summary

Healthcare Services Group is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility. You will oversee food quality, safety, inventory, and service, ensuring adherence to menus and all regulations while delivering a quality dining experience for residents and staff.

The role requires strong leadership, staff training, and effective communication with clients and facility staff. HCSG offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities across nationwide placements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality is preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and supervision is preferred.
• CDM certification preferred or as required by state law; FSM and LTC-FSM certifications within 60 days.
• Must obtain FPM within the first 14 days of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform roles as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
• Ensure sanitary environment following infection control, handwashing, and safety procedures.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
• Represent HCSG positively in interactions with staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
