Job summary

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving and preparing meals.
• Wash dishes and maintain sanitation in kitchen and dining areas.
• Record chlorine concentration and monitor dishwasher temperatures.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work surfaces and floors in kitchen/dining areas.
• Assist with orientation and training of dietary staff.
