Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dining Services Aide to support meal service, food preparation, and sanitation in our dining facilities. You will learn routines quickly, assist with tray setup, and help with serving and clean-up while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and dining area.

The role requires ability to read procedures/recipes, cooperate with staff, and obtain a food handlers’ certificate. This position emphasizes safety and teamwork in a health-care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to cooperate with staff across departments.

Responsibilities

• Learn new food service routines quickly.
• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Help prepare different meals and clean up after service.
• Wash dishes and maintain sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
• Record water temperature and sanitizer concentrations.
• Operate the dishwasher and maintain cleaning supplies.
• Keep work surfaces, floors and refrigerators clean and safe.
• Support orientation and training of dietary staff.
