The Homestead at Rochester, part of Volunteers of America National Services, is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to lead dining operations for residents and guests. You will collaborate with the culinary team to provide nutritious meals, supervise servers and cafe staff, and uphold high sanitation and service standards in a balanced schedule.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership and communication skills, 2–4 years in food service, and a high school diploma (hospitality degree preferred).

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma required; college degree in Hospitality preferred.
• Two to four years of food service experience required.
• CCRC dining experience required; resort/club experience a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Multi point of service experience a plus to manage retail, event and dining room service.
• Excellent communication skills; available to work flexible hours.

Aufgaben

• Maintains excellent relationships with residents, family members, guests, peers and management.
• Works with Chef and Director of Dining Services on nutritious, high-quality meals.
• Implements and maintains new culinary and service programs with the culinary team.
• Trains and maintains high standards for dining room and other food service venues.
• Directs servers, baristas and cafe attendant; monitors appearance and service.
• Trains staff on procedures and menu education; ensures proper setup of dining areas.
• Oversees payroll processing and HR paperwork for dining staff.
• Hires, terminates and coaches dining staff; conducts performance reviews.
• Maintains ServSafe Certification; handles alcohol ordering and inventory.
• Meets new residents to review dining procedures/menus; supports special events.
