Job summary

Volunteers of America’s Homestead at Rochester is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to lead daily dining services for residents and guests. Based in Rochester, MN, you will coordinate with the culinary team, train staff, and ensure top-quality service while maintaining safety standards.

Compensation is $20.00-$22.00 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule and every other weekend 11am–7pm, offering meaningful work and opportunities for career growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required. College degree in Hospitality-related field preferred.
• Two to four years of food service experience required.
• CCRC dining experience required. Resort and/or country club experience a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are a must.
• Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains excellent relationships with residents, resident family members, guests, peers and management.
• Works with the Chef and Director of Dining Services to suggest nutritious and top quality food for residents and guests.
• Implements and maintains new culinary and service programs with the culinary team.
• Trains and maintains a high standard for dining room and other food service venues.
• Directs and monitors Servers, Baristas and Café Attendant, including uniform/personal appearance and customer service.
• Trains servers, Barista and Café Attendant on operating procedures and menu education.
• Ensures floor charts and tables are set up correctly.
• Oversees processing of guest meal charges in a timely manner.
• Hires, terminates and coaches all Servers, Baristas and Café Staff.
• Completes HR paperwork for hiring, performance reviews and terminations.
• Supervises department payroll processing.
• Has knowledge of catering program and backs up Lead Server and catering events.
