Job summary

StoryPoint is seeking a Dining Room Manager in Carrollton, TX to ensure efficient restaurant operation and high standards of service for residents and guests.

You will supervise dining room personnel, handle reservations, greet guests, and resolve complaints, while maintaining safe, clean, and organized dining areas. This role emphasizes leadership, guest care, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school or 1–3 years related experience; fine dining preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply good judgment in understanding and carrying out instructions.
• Ability to handle problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Maintains a high energy level and is a self-motivator.
• Carries incredibly high standards in their work.
• Billing reconciliation/cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Staffing responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching and scheduling.
• Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners.
• Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
• Handles and fixes all complaints to ensure a great dining experience for residents and guests.
• Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service.
• Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, inventories table linens and other dining room supplies.
• Work toward continual improvement of the overall organization.
