Job summary

StoryPoint in Hamilton, Ohio is seeking a Dining Room Manager to ensure efficient restaurant operation and maintain high standards of production, service, quality, and guest satisfaction for residents and visitors. This role supervises dining room staff and coordinates daily activities to deliver timely, courteous service.

You will interview, hire, train, coach, and schedule personnel; manage reservations and events; greet guests, handle complaints, and oversee cleanliness, stocking, and safety

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year college equivalent, or 1–3 years related experience; fine dining is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to apply good judgment in following written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Maintains a high energy level and is a self-motivator.
• Carries high standards in their work.
• Billing reconciliation/cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing, hiring, training, coaching and scheduling staff.
• Schedule dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners.
• Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
• Handles and fixes all complaints to insure a great dining experience for residents and guests.
• Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service to patrons.
• Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and inventories table linens and other dining room supplies for tables and serving stations.
• Work toward continual improvement of the overall organization.
