Job summary

Weatherly Inn - Tacoma seeks a Dining Room Supervisor to lead front-of-house staff, ensure excellent customer service, and support daily dining operations in a senior living setting. The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and hands-on participation in service.

You will supervise, train, mentor staff, and coordinate schedules and diets to maintain high standards. We offer comprehensive benefits and a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year experience in food service or hospitality; leadership/mentoring experience preferred.
• Food Handler’s Permit required.
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution, multitasking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate front‑of‑house staff.
• Assign sections, monitor service flow, and ensure resident satisfaction.
• Responsible for creating the schedule and knowing which servers are on schedule and assigning sections on a rotating basis.
• Review communication logs and meal bookings; coordinate special diets and events.
• Assist servers with table setting and breakdown as appropriate, making sure clean linen is available, and ordering from linen supplier.
• Monitor safety standards, cleanliness, and equipment use.
• Communicate with nursing regarding incidents or resident needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
