Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year experience in food service or hospitality; leadership/mentoring experience preferred.
• Food Handler’s Permit required.
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution, multitasking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate front-of-house staff.
• Assign sections, monitor service flow, and ensure resident satisfaction.
• Create the schedule and assign servers on rotating basis.
• Review logs and meal bookings; coordinate special diets and events.
• Assist servers with table setting and linen needs; order from linen supplier.
• Monitor safety, cleanliness, and equipment use.
• Communicate with nursing regarding incidents or resident needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The Dining Room Supervisor leads front-of-house staff, ensures excellent customer service, and supports daily dining operations. This role requires leadership, attention to detail, and hands‑on participation in service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate front-of-house staff
• Assign sections, monitor service flow, and ensure resident satisfaction
• Responsible for creating the schedule and knowing which servers are on schedule and assigning sections on a rotating basis.
• Review communication logs and meal bookings; coordinate special diets and events
• Assist servers with table setting and breakdown as appropriate, making sure clean linen is available, and ordering from linen supplier.
• Monitor safety standards, cleanliness, and equipment use
• Communicate with nursing regarding incidents or resident needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs; push 250 lb carts or residents
