Job summary

Weatherly Inn is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to lead front-of-house staff, ensure excellent service, and support daily dining operations in our senior living community.

The role requires leadership, attention to detail, and hands-on participation in service; responsibilities include staff supervision, scheduling, coordinating with nursing, and maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year experience in food service or hospitality; leadership/mentoring preferred.
• Food Handler’s Permit required.
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution, multitasking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate front-of-house staff
• Assign sections, monitor service flow, and ensure resident satisfaction
• Responsible for creating the schedule and knowing which servers are on schedule and assigning sections on a rotating basis
• Review communication logs and meal bookings; coordinate special diets and events
• Assist servers with table setting and breakdown as appropriate, making sure clean linen is available, and ordering from linen supplier
• Monitor safety standards, cleanliness, and equipment use
• Communicate with nursing regarding incidents or resident needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Overview
