Job summary

Meriwether Godsey is seeking a Full-time Dining Room Attendant at a private men's college in Farmville, VA. The role requires availability Monday through Friday and Saturdays, with compensation of $14 per hour.

You will support dining operations, service, and safety in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include transporting supplies, serving food, assisting with food prep, maintaining clean dining and kitchen areas, and helping with receiving and storage.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and good organizational skills.
• Flexibility; ability to switch between job duties.
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification desired.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Transport food and supplies to the serving area and assist in setup, maintenance, and breakdown of dining, food serving, and beverage areas.
• Serve and replenish food from food counters and steam tables.
• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and properly store food.
• Keep dining room areas and assigned kitchen areas neat and organized.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, dining tables, chairs, and equipment throughout and after meal periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of other kitchen areas by following daily and weekly cleaning assignments.
• Assist with receiving and storage of food products and food preparation.
• Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards.
• Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.

What The Dining Room Attendant Will Do

• Transport food and supplies to the serving area: assist in the set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of dining, food serving, and beverage areas.
