Job summary

Meriwether Godsey is seeking a Utility Steward to maintain sanitation in the kitchen, cafeteria, and dining room of a private men's college in Farmville, VA. This role can be filled part-time or full-time, with flexible weekend availability and hours based on the meal schedule.

You will operate the dish machine, monitor temperatures, assist in setting up dining areas, and uphold food safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment on a college campus.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility; ability to switch tasks as needed.
• Reliability and willingness to work in hot, humid environments.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans; scrape, separate, and organize items.
• Note and record dish-machine temperatures, reporting low temperatures or machine malfunctions immediately.
• Transport related supplies and assist in the setup of dining and serving areas.
• Clean cafeteria areas throughout and after meal periods and replenish them to ensure service without interruption.
• Set up and use a three-compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and cafeteria areas, including sweeping, mopping floors, and removal of trash.
• Assist with receiving and storing food products and food preparation following correct food handling procedures to ensure food safety.
• Perform all duties under food safety and sanitation best practices.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Part-time and Full-time Utility Steward responsible for maintaining the sanitation of the kitchen, cafeteria, and dining room at a private men's college located in Farmville, VA.

• Must be able to work weekdays and weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
• $14.00 Per Hour

What You Will Do
