Job summary

Meriwether Godsey is seeking an Account Manager to support the Director of Dining Services at a private college prep school in Lynchburg, VA. You will lead and coach staff, plan campus catered events, and help manage menus within brand, standards, and budget.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a schedule that includes nights and weekends. This is a full-time on-site position in Central Virginia.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 2+ years leadership experience required.
• ServSafe FPM certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Working knowledge of dining room operations; experience promoting and driving catering programs.
• Experience using online Food Management Systems preferred.
• Growing knowledge of sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Support booking, planning, execution, and communication related to campus catered events and off-campus events.
• Assist in menu planning for special events to meet brand, standards, and budget requirements.
• Supervise staff during all catered events to ensure high-quality service standards and presentations.
• Monitor and supervise the setup and maintenance of dining areas and food stations to ensure quality standards.
• Assist leadership in supervising staff needs; support purchasing and inventory activities.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees.
• Foster an inclusive environment for all staff and guests, maintaining client and customer relationships.
• Work with management for personnel decisions, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and firing.

What You Will Do

• Experience using online Food Management Systems preferred
