Job summary

The University of Colorado Boulder’s Dining and Retail Technology Solutions (SLTS) team is seeking a Dining and Retail Technology Specialist to deploy, support, and lifecycle manage hardware across campus dining, retail, and auxiliary operations. You will provide hands-on support for Micros POS, DateCode Genie labeling devices, temperature probes, iPads, autonomous merchandisers, and Kitchen Display Systems, ensuring reliable, secure technology.

The role requires occasional night/weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 1 year of experience working with network-connected devices (wired and wireless), including basic connectivity and power troubleshooting.
• 1 year of experience troubleshooting and providing device support in Windows operating systems environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support for dining and retail hardware systems, including Micros point-of-sale terminals, registers, and peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, peripheral, and connectivity issues in production environments.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, firmware updates, and warranty support.
• Create and maintain documentation for supported hardware, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Working nights and weekends may be required in case of IT emergencies.
