The University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a Dining and Retail Technology Specialist in Boulder to deploy, support, and manage hardware across campus dining, retail, and auxiliary operations. The role provides hands-on support for POS, labeling devices, inventory, and emerging retail tech, partnering with Dining Services, Buff OneCard Office, and campus IT to maintain reliable, secure systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 1 year of experience working with network-connected devices (wired and wireless), including basic connectivity and power troubleshooting.
• 1 year of experience troubleshooting and providing devices support in Windows operating systems environments.
• Strong customer service approach.
• Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and technologies.
• Experience supporting Micros POS environments or similar enterprise POS platforms.
• Experience working in higher education, hospitality, dining services, or largescale retail operations.

Responsabilités

• Provide day-to-day technical support for dining and retail hardware systems, including POS terminals, peripherals, and labeling devices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, peripheral, and connectivity issues in production environments.
• Perform device provisioning, configuration, replacement, and decommissioning in line with IT standards.
• Collaborate with Dining Services, Retail Operations, and IT to ensure reliable technology.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs, updates, and warranty support.
• Document SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and asset tracking; contribute to lifecycle planning.
