Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Building Attendant II (Dining) to join University Housing and Dining in Austin. This is a part-time role, up to 19 hours per week, with a starting wage of $20.00 per hour.

The position focuses on maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, dining area, and dish room of a large-scale food service operation. As part of the team, you will follow safety and sanitation guidelines, operate cleaning equipment, train and guide student staff as needed, and

Qualifications

• Six months of commercial cleaning experience.
• Six months of experience with commercial cleaning equipment (dish machines, carpet/floor care).
• Ability to complete and maintain Food Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks for dining and kitchen areas; operate dishwashing equipment and replenish dishware.
• Maintain sanitation and safe handling of chemicals and supplies, monitor inventory levels.
• Train and guide temporary and student staff; report emergencies and needed repairs.
• Adhere to UHD and UT policies; complete food safety training and follow safety guidelines.
