The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Building Attendant II for University Unions at UT Main Campus in Austin, Texas. This full-time role supports multiple campus facilities, including meeting and performance venues, dining operations, and Esports spaces.

Responsibilities include cleaning, room setups for events, floor care, restroom maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols. Candidates should have custodial or facilities experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial, environmental services, hospitality, or facilities maintenance.
• Ability to follow basic work instructions.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Keep the area immediately outside the facility neat and clean.
• Assist with floor care, including shampooing carpets, scrubbing floors and stripping and finishing floors.
• Clean, stock and maintain the male and female restrooms.
• Assist with room setups and breakdowns for special events.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and remove trash throughout the facility.
• Follow job requirements, and direction from building supervisors.
• Use proper cleaning materials, and operate janitorial equipment with safety protocols.
