Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Building Attendant II (Dining) in University Housing and Dining at UT Main Campus. You will ensure cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, and dish room within a large-scale food service operation.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning tasks, operating dish machines, maintaining sanitation, and assisting with staff training. The role offers a $2.00 per hour shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Six months of commercial cleaning experience.
• Six months of experience with commercial cleaning equipment such as dish machines, carpet care, or floor care equipment.
• Ability to complete and maintain Food Safety Training.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks in dining, kitchen, and dish areas.
• Operate dish machines; restock dishware for front of house and maintain sanitation.
• Maintain sanitation standards and monitor chemicals and storage procedures.
• Assist in training temporary and student staff; communicate professionally with team and customers.
• Follow UHD/UT policies and complete food safety training.
