Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Dimensional Evaluator LPC LMA 861 to identify and correct visual and dimensional flaws in castings to ensure final product meets customer specifications.

The role may include hands-on inspection, straightening, hardness testing, CMM evaluation and disposition per PCC technique cards and blueprints. The position requires a versatile worker who can perform multiple secondary tasks, maintain accurate records, and adhere to safety standards

Qualifications

• Current valid certification in visual/dimensional inspection and UTT.
• Ability to read, follow and interpret blueprints.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with measurement tools and precision inspections is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visual and dimensional inspection of castings to customer specs.
• Set up and straighten castings; adjust fixtures and tooling.
• Recommend part routing and process improvements; perform related rework as needed.
• Complete records and reports including non-conformances and production logs.
• Embrace safety rules and operate equipment with proper care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
