Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in the United States (Oregon) seeks a skilled Visual/Dimensional Inspector to ensure castings meet customer specs.

The role covers inspection, straightening, and repair tasks, with emphasis on CMM interpretation, targeting, and precise measurement using micrometers, calipers, and gauging equipment. Candidate will document non-conformances, follow technique cards, and support safety and quality systems.

Competenze

Current valid certification in visual/dimensional inspection and UTT inspection is required.
Experience or training in straightening, targeting, grinding or CMM disposition preferred.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations as required.
Ability to read, follow and interpret blueprints.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to read and follow complex technical instructions.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
Rework Analyst Certification may be given preference.

Mansioni

Visually and dimensionally inspect castings to customer specs with minimal rework.
Follow quality systems and use technique cards.
Inspect and adjust fixtures and measuring tools to calibration standards.
Interpret CMM reports and move parts through production.
Set up and perform straightening per tolerances and fixtures.
Document non-conformances and production records as required.
Ensure safety and operate tools and equipment properly.
Perform other duties including casting repair and analysis as assigned.
