Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks a skilled inspector to identify visual and dimensional flaws in castings and ensure parts meet customer specifications.

The role includes performing or coordinating straightening, hardness testing, UTT, and CMM evaluation as defined by PCC procedure cards and blueprints. Responsibilities include inspecting castings, documenting non-conformances, and supporting production flow.

Qualifications

• Current valid certification in visual/dimensional inspection and UTT inspection is required.
• Preferred training/experience in straightening, targeting, grinding or CMM disposition.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations as required.
• Ability to read, follow and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work safely and follow procedures.
• Preference for Rework Analyst Certification if available.

Responsibilities

• Visually and dimensionally inspect castings to customer specs using appropriate measurement devices.
• Identify and document rework needs; mark areas for correction and track through production.
• Inspect, straighten and rework castings as required.
• Interpret CMM reports and other data to move parts through production.
• Maintain records and non-conformance reports.
• Follow safety rules and operate equipment safely.
