Job summary

Qualifications

• Visual and dimensional inspection skills demonstrated by training or work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow specifications on tech cards and other technical material, and perform arithmetic.
• Ability to perform dimensional inspection using proper techniques.
• Ability to read precision hand tools.
• Vision 20/30 with depth and color vision, pass tests.
• Ability to provide work direction and training, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lb, occasionally up to 80 lb.
• Ability to work in conditions with noise, dust, chemicals, and awkward positions.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect castings to identify surface defects.
• Measure casting dimensions and ensure conformance to specs using gauges and tools.
• Work with engineering to address non-conformance and generate reports.
• Maintain safety practices and operate equipment following plant rules.
• Complete logs and records; provide training as directed.
