Blue Origin LLC in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to support aerospace manufacturing and receiving inspections, ensuring dimensional conformance and traceability for flight-critical hardware.

You will review FAIs, CoCs, MTRs, and inspection records, apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5, select proper measurement tools, and report nonconformances while collaborating with engineering and procurement teams.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on aerospace inspection in production or receiving environments.
GD&T proficiency per ASME Y14.5 on complex aerospace drawings.
Proficiency with basic and precision inspection equipment.
Strong written and verbal communication to engineers, buyers, and leadership.
Working knowledge of ERP systems for documenting inspections and records.

Responsibilities

Execute component inspections per approved plans, verify dimensional conformance, part marking, and traceability.
Perform receiving inspections on aerospace hardware, raw materials, and assemblies using appropriate measurement tools.
Review First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102 requirements and ensure compliance before hardware acceptance.
Document inspection data, CoCs, MTRs, and records with full traceability.
Initiate nonconformance reports and communicate findings to stakeholders across functions.
