Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems seeks a Digital Systems Engineer to blend Systems Engineering, MBSE, and project management across the lifecycle. You will guide requirements, architecture working groups, and system integration using Cameo and Velocy templates to auto-generate ICDs.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, ensure traceability from requirements to verification, and manage risk within complex models. A Top Secret clearance is required, with US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Clearance.
• Master's degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or a related STEM discipline with 2+ years of experience; OR a bachelor's degree in engineering, general science, or physics with 4+ years of core systems engineering and systems architecture experience.
• Hands-on experience developing architectural system concepts, BDDS/IBDs, and MBSE configurations in Cameo or No Magic tools.
• Proven experience building and applying template scripts (e.g., Apache Velocity) for report automation and documentation generation.
• Experience leading or coordinating engineering tasks and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent oral communication skills for briefings, design reviews, or demonstrations.
• U.S. Citizenship is required with an active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead MBSE conceptual model space to capture stakeholder requirements and establish end-to-end architecture traceability.
• Lead multi-discipline requirements and architecture working groups to align engineering efforts with milestones.
• Develop and implement automated scripts in Velocity within Cameo to support report automation and ICD generation.
• Drive system integration by linking toolsets and open-data models across the lifecycle to simulate programs.
• Perform risk identification and modeling within architectures to establish standardized tracking.
• Troubleshoot templates and ensure high-fidelity report creation and data consistency in model repositories.
• Foster teamwork and collaborate across matrixed organizations.
