Job summary

Leidos is seeking a highly motivated Software Systems Engineer to support defense programs across the systems engineering lifecycle. The role emphasizes MBSE, requirements management, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure system performance and compliance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on MBSE experience with Cameo and Jama, strong SysML modeling skills, and a track record of working on DoD programs. Security clearance is a prerequisite.

Qualifications

• US citizen able to obtain a security clearance.
• 10+/12+ years of systems engineering experience depending on degree.
• Defense/DoD program experience highly preferred.
• MBSE with Cameo Systems Modeler required.
• SysML modeling and MBSE artifact development.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering across full lifecycle: requirements, architecture, integration, V&V.
• Create and maintain PIDs, ICDs, SSS, SRS documents.
• Lead requirements decomposition, allocation, traceability, and change management.
• Develop SysML diagrams: activity, sequence, use case, interfaces.
