Job summary

New America in Washington, DC, is seeking a Digital Director to lead its digital strategy, website, and publishing platforms. You will shape the brand’s digital product roadmap, oversee performance analytics, and guide a multidisciplinary team responsible for web development, design, and content distribution.

Reporting to the VP of Content and Communications, you will collaborate with program staff and operations to turn strategic goals into measurable digital experiences, ensure accessibility

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in digital strategy, web product development, and brand-led digital publishing.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams spanning web development, marketing, data visualization, and design.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility, UX, privacy, and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Set vision for the website and digital publishing tools aligning with audience growth goals.
• Develop a product roadmap balancing accessibility, UX, privacy, and performance.
• Lead product development with internal teams and external vendors.
• Expand interactive storytelling and data visualization to broaden reach.
• Oversee governance, budgets, and staffing with VP of Content and Communications.
