Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks an Account Engineer to analyze building and energy data, identify meaningful outcomes, and drive sustainability projects. You will lead Technical Strategy Review meetings for Connected Service Agreements and work with account managers and field technicians to grow service sales.

The role involves travel to customer sites, onsite work, and clear communication with clients and internal teams while managing multiple projects and applying strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent from a four‑year college or university preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Strong familiarity with operation of energy management systems, building automation systems, HVAC systems and/or temperature controls.

Responsibilities

• Analyze building and energy data to identify meaningful outcomes.
• Create consultative documentation for customers.
• Lead quarterly or semiannual Technical Strategy Review meetings for each Connected Service Agreement customer.
• Use energy conservation measures to optimize building operations and drive sustainability projects.
• Fulfill Digital Services contract obligations while meeting safety standards.
• Gather and validate information and perform facility walkthroughs or plan reviews.
• Collaborate with account managers and field technicians to grow Service Agreements, Service Quoted, Turnkey, and Controls sales.
• Plan and schedule work with the Project Administrator service team.
• Travel to customer sites; work may be outdoors or in mechanical rooms; exposure to weather and equipment risks.
