Job summary

Esquire Deposition Solutions is seeking a Digital Reporter to capture verbatim records of depositions and other proceedings. You will use specialized software and equipment on-site within your region or remotely to deliver high-quality audio/video documentation, administer oaths, and annotate exhibits for transcription.

No prior legal experience is required; we provide training and certification support. A Notary Public license and AAERT/CAPTUR CER certification are encouraged, with the company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or court reporting/legal studies/communications/A/V background is a plus
• Typing at ~50 wpm with good accuracy
• Willingness to obtain Notary Public license and AAERT/CAPTUR CER certification with company support
• Background check required and valid driver’s license may be needed

Responsibilities

• Capture and preserve verbatim records of depositions and other proceedings
• Set up and test recording equipment prior to proceedings
• Administer oaths and maintain control of hearings as neutral authority
• Annotate testimony for transcription and retrieval
• Secure exhibits and back up all files; complete job worksheets
• Foster professional relationships with attorneys, clients, and colleagues
