Job summary

Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom is seeking a Digital Pathology Field Service Engineer to support our digital pathology systems in clinical environments in the DC/Baltimore area. You will partner with healthcare professionals to keep equipment running and deliver accurate results.

This role requires hands-on maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and on-call rotations with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of field service or technical support in medical devices.
• Proficiency with PC hardware, Windows OS, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN).
• Hands-on experience with robotic systems, laboratory instruments, and service documentation processes.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills for service records and calibration logs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, perform, and document preventive maintenance and FCOs on digital scanners and related hardware.
• Diagnose root causes, perform repairs, and validate system performance per SOPs.
• Lead site setups: unpack, assemble, calibrate instruments, configure networks and LIS integration.
• Respond to on-site service calls promptly to minimize downtime and maintain uptime SLAs.
• Maintain calibration records and service reports in CRM/tracking systems.
• Wear and manage company cell phone and respond during work/on-call hours.
• Manage tools, parts, and inventory efficiently.
• Adhere to documentation/regulatory standards and quality procedures.
• Build partnerships with lab staff and clinicians through clear communication.
