Job summary

Shyft Global Services, a TD SYNNEX Company, is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to support digital pathology systems in clinical environments. You will perform preventive maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting to ensure peak instrument performance.

Candidates should have 2–3 years in medical device field service, strong PC, networking, and documentation skills, and be willing to travel up to 50% with some evenings and on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, biomedical technology, or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of field service or technical support experience in medical devices and laboratory automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: schedule, execute, and document preventive maintenance and field change orders on digital scanners and related hardware; diagnose root causes, perform repairs or part replacements, and validate system performance per SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Installations & Configurations: lead complete site setups, unpack, assemble, calibrate instruments; configure networking, middleware, and integration with laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: respond to service calls on site to minimize downtime; use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Operate with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations.
• Documentation & Compliance: maintain service reports, work orders, and calibration records in CRM; manage resources, tools, parts, and inventory; adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Customer Collaboration: build strong partnerships with laboratory staff, pathologists, and clinical engineers.
