Job summary

The Information Literacy Concierge at Metropolitan Community College’s Digital Express on the Fort Omaha Campus greets and assists students, faculty, staff and community members, helping them use technology and navigate to direct services. The role includes participating in programming to reduce the digital divide for this community.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 1 year of direct customer service experience.
• Experience in educational, library or social services setting preferred.
• Proficiency in English; multilingual preferred (Spanish helpful).
• Must pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with orienting to college resources and tools (Canvas, MyHub, OneDrive).
• Assist community members in orientation to technology and device usage.
• Answer telephones, transfer calls, and set tech-assistance appointments.
• Manage Digital Express reservations, room setup, and patron sign-ins.
• Greet patrons and maintain a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
• Promote Digital Express programming and tech-related events.
• Produce and maintain Digital Express records and reports.
