Job summary

NANA is seeking a digital navigator to guide community members in accessing affordable connectivity, devices, and digital skills from the NANA Village Office. The role emphasizes individualized or small-group support, including in-person and remote options, to help tribal members become proficient online and connected.

The position is part-time, averaging 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with a focus on equity and digital inclusion within the NANA region.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED required.
6 months to 1 year of related experience in customer service, admin, outreach, or tech support.
Demonstrated computer proficiency: Microsoft Office, email, internet, and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

Initiate interactions with clients seeking assistance.
Discuss clients' home internet access and needs, technology experience, and device access.
Assess clients' technology access, digital skills, connectivity needs, and priorities.
Set goals for services and confirm details with the client.
Advise on free or low-cost internet options and help apply for services.
Provide information on low-cost devices and maintenance.
Coach clients to use services to meet priorities, including in-person or remote sessions.
Track progress and maintain accurate records; report outcomes as required.
Plan and manage assistance to achieve agreed goals.
Contribute to marketing and outreach for the digital navigator program.
Offer presentations to partners, clients, and stakeholders.
