Job summary

NANA Village Office in Alaska seeks a digital navigator to assist tribal members with affordable connectivity, devices, and digital skills, in person or by phone, email, text, video chat, and other methods.

The role is part-time, averaging 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday, based in the posted NANA Village Office. You will support clients, track progress, and help expand access to digital resources.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year in customer service or related work.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and email.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and patiently.
• Willingness to learn digital inclusion resources.

Responsibilities

• Initiate interactions with clients seeking assistance.
• Discuss home internet access and technology experiences.
• Assess clients' access to technology and set goals.
• Advise on free or low-cost home internet options and assist applications.
• Provide information about low-cost devices and repairs.
• Coach clients to use services to meet goals.
• Track progress and maintain records.
• Plan and manage client assistance to meet goals.
• Contribute to marketing and outreach for the program.
• Provide occasional presentations about the program.
• Other duties as needed.
