Job summary

Leidos in Washington, DC is seeking a Scanner Operator to work on-site in support of the Department of Justice, National Fraud Enforcement Division. The role involves operating Canon or Xerox scanning equipment, capturing images, generating OCR text, and maintaining logs and supplies.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of hands-on scanning experience, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with image scanning and conversion equipment (Canon or Xerox) and hands-on operation.
• Ability to set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on scanning machines.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital image scanning equipment to capture images and generate OCR text.
• Follow scanning and quality control procedures to produce digital files in required formats.
• Prepare documents for scanning and disassemble/reassemble as needed.
• Maintain scanning and task logs and equipment maintenance logs.
