Leidos Inc. is seeking Scanner Operators to work on-site in Washington, DC, supporting the Department of Justice and its National Fraud Enforcement Division.

The role emphasizes operating scanning equipment, maintaining logs, and ensuring delivery of high-quality digital files. Ideal candidates will have one year of experience with image scanners, familiarity with Canon or Xerox systems, and the ability to work under time pressures.

Qualifications

• One year of experience with image scanning and conversion equipment (Canon or Xerox).
• Able to set up, operate and perform routine maintenance on these machines.
• Attention to detail is important for producing high quality work under time pressure.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital image scanning equipment to capture images and generate OCR text.
• Follow scanning and quality control procedures to produce digital files in specified formats.
• Prepare documents for scanning, including disassembly and reassembly as needed.
• Maintain scanning and task logs and equipment maintenance logs.
• Manage inventory of supplies (toner, paper, binders, labels, etc.).
• Provide service in operating scanning and printing machines (Canon or Xerox).
• Replace toner in service centers and floor machines as required.
