The position requires strong staffing, coaching, and analytical skills to manage operations, promote safety, and ensure quick, friendly service during peak hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Experience with staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Proven ability to teach suggestive selling.
• Proven ability to mentor team members across roles.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsabilités

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning by identifying development needs and facilitating promotions.
• Handle disciplinary actions and discharge recommendations.
• Manage P&L, drive sales, and control shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast, and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
• Mentor team members to exceed service and sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure thorough training and certification for all team members.
• Spend most time on-floor assisting customers and guiding team.
