Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support, while staying close to code and decisions.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate across time zones, and collaborate with product owners, architects, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into delivery plans. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least 6 years of technology software development experience with leading project teams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot and microservices.
• Experience with modern UI frameworks (Angular or React).
• Experience with enterprise apps on major cloud platforms.
• Familiar with source control, CI/CD, containers, and testing.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum, distributed teams, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and complex engineering issues.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and front-end frameworks.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and reviews.
• Coordinate work across teams located in different geographic locations and time zones.
• Mentor engineers through technical coaching, design reviews, and career development conversations.
• Partner with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, security, and client stakeholders.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; communicate progress.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event-driven and data-processing solutions with Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
