Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Manager for the Service Delivery Center who will balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while remaining close to code and technical decisions.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate across geographically distributed teams, and translate business requirements into achievable delivery plans across Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of technology software development experience with leading project teams or major delivery workstreams.
• Hands-on coding experience with Java and Spring Boot, and microservices development.
• Experience with at least one modern UI framework (Angular or React) and full-stack engineering decisions.
• Experience with enterprise applications on a major cloud platform.
• Experience with CI/CD, container deployments, testing, and code-quality gates.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, sprint planning and delivery tracking.
• Ability to lead distributed teams across geographies and stakeholders.
• Mentorship and coaching skills to improve engineering practices.
• Experience with asynchronous/event-driven architectures and observability tooling.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, release and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, debugging, and technical proofs of concept.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native patterns.
• Plan and manage Agile delivery, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release readiness.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
• Mentor engineers through technical coaching and code-quality feedback.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, DevOps and stakeholders to translate requirements into delivery plans.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks and delivery metrics; raise impediments with actions.
• Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Support event-driven/data-processing solutions using Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Flink or similar.
