Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while remaining close to code and technical decisions.

You will mentor engineers, manage dependencies, and coordinate delivery across distributed teams, focusing on Java/Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, and modern UI frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of technology software development experience with project leadership responsibility.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs.
• Experience with UI frameworks such as Angular or React and full-stack guidance.
• Cloud platform experience and CI/CD, container deployments, testing, and quality gates.
• Agile/Scrum delivery, sprint planning, release planning, and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Remain hands-on with coding, reviews, troubleshooting, and POC development.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and UI frameworks.
• Plan Agile delivery, backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and demonstrations.
• Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and support career development.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, DevOps, QA, and security to translate requirements.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and delivery metrics; address impediments.
• Promote secure development, CI/CD, observability, and production readiness.
• Support data processing solutions with Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or Flink when needed.
