Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Service Delivery Center to lead end-to-end software engineering initiatives while staying hands-on with coding and design decisions. You will coordinate multi-location teams, mentor engineers, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery across Agile delivery cycles.

The role requires a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, and UI frameworks like Angular or React, with cloud deployment expertise. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• At least 6 years of technology software development experience with leadership of project teams.
• Hands-on coding with Java and Spring Boot; microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience guiding full-stack decisions with Angular or React; cloud deployment.
• Proficient in CI/CD, container deployments, and testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software delivery from planning to production support.
• Stay hands-on with coding, reviews, and debugging complex issues.
• Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Plan Agile delivery: backlogs, sprints, estimates, demos, and releases.
• Coordinate distributed teams across time zones and geographies.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering practice improvements.
• Partner with product, architecture, DevOps, and QA to map delivery plans.
• Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, and progress; escalate blockers.
• Promote secure, observable, and automated development and testing.
• Support data-processing and event-driven work using Kafka/Spark/Flink if needed.
