Job summary
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Digital Engineering Lead to guide an up-conversion team on a modernization program for a major aerospace and defense manufacturer. You will define the MBD standards, drive model-based definitions, and lead the automation and quality gates that enable a seamless release into the PLM system.
You will structure the delivery team and coordinate with client leadership. You will oversee an integrated delivery plan, manage scheduling and risk, and coach engineers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in digital or model-based engineering with hands-on MBD
- Deep knowledge of GD&T and model-based definition under ASME Y14.5/Y14.41
- Experience with PLM systems like Windchill and delivering at program/enterprise scale
- Strong leadership of technical delivery teams and direct client interaction
- U.S. citizenship required
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the MBD authoring standard with templates and metadata schema
- Set neutral-derivative and automated-analysis strategy (STEP AP242, QIF) and 3D PDF outputs
- Define PLM release path including engineering change process and CAD BOM alignment
- Stand up electrical/harness work with Zuken E3.series and data management
- Own the quality gate and digital thread with traceability from design to released hardware
- Manage delivery through kickoff, integrated master schedule, reviews, and risk management
- Support planning and estimation for scaling the conversion effort
- Coach engineers on tools and the MBx process and evolve team capabilities
