Qualifications

• Associate's degree in legal studies, communications, or audio/visual technology or equivalent experience.
• Notary Public license (able to obtain) and CER certification encouraged.
• AAERT CER certification preferred.
• Familiarity with court procedures and digital recording tech is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record legal proceedings using advanced audio/video equipment.
• Administer oaths and maintain control as an independent authority.
• Annotate essential testimony for transcription and playback as needed.
• Manage and secure exhibits, backup files, and job-specific worksheets.
• Maintain professionalism and build relationships with clients and legal professionals.
• Prepare for assignments and respond to communications efficiently.
