Job summary

Salal Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented IT Systems Analyst to support our Digital Banking team. The role focuses on ensuring reliable online and mobile experiences, improving systems, and collaborating with partners across business and technology groups.

The hybrid role requires on-site presence at the Northgate headquarters at least one day per week (Wednesday) and a typical 40-hour work week with occasional after-hours or weekend support to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting business applications and technology platforms.
• Experience troubleshooting software platforms or member/customer-facing technology solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and identify root causes.
• Curiosity and a desire to understand how systems, processes, and business operations work together.
• Strong critical-thinking skills, including the ability to ask thoughtful questions, gather information from multiple sources, and work through ambiguity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of issues through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary Tier 2 support resource for online and mobile banking platforms, investigating issues and coordinating solutions with internal teams and vendors.
• Manage and prioritize support requests based on business impact, urgency, and member experience.
• Perform release validation, regression testing, and quality assurance activities for system enhancements, upgrades, and defect corrections.
• Collaborate with business partners, developers, and third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement new functionality.
• Support digital banking initiatives through testing, configuration changes, implementation planning, and post-release validation.
• Communicate technical issues, risks, and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create and maintain documentation, procedures, test scripts, and knowledge articles that improve team efficiency and support consistency.
• Analyze recurring issues, identify trends, and recommend improvements to systems, processes, and member experiences.
• Perform routine system administration, reporting, monitoring, and configuration activities to ensure stability and performance.
