Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to oversee the Food Service Department in a geriatric care setting in Port Chester, NY. The role emphasizes supervising staff, coordinating meals, and maintaining safe, nutritious service for residents.

You will supervise/train staff, assist in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs, inspect storage and inventory, assist with purchasing and cost controls, and strive for quality in food production.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• High school degree.
• Strong references.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train staff in the Food Service Department.

Dietary Supervisor Candidate must possess strong organizational and communication skills to supervise staff and interact with our geriatric residents. Responsibilities include supervising/training staff and assisting with the operations of the Food Service Department. Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Food Service Department, its programs and activities. Inspect food storage rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control. Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of food and non-food supplies. Assist in food purchasing and receiving including monitoring expenditures and cost controls. Assist in developing methods for determining quality and quantity of food.

Dietary Supervisor Qualifications

• At least 1 year supervisory experience
• High school degree.
• Strong references.
• Experience in a healthcare a plus.

Shifts

• Every other weekend (11am-7pm Shift)
