Job summary

Lancaster Health Center is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to oversee the Dietary Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, and coordinating education across departments to maintain quality patient dining services.

The role emphasizes leadership in diet therapy, cost control, and food management, with a focus on delivering excellent nutrition and customer service to residents and patients alike.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Dietary Manager.
• Minimum of two+ years of supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other medical facility.
• Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
• Must maintain current licensure as required by law.
• Any combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Dietary Department per Federal, State and local standards.
• Schedule department hours, personnel and assignments to maintain quality patient care.
• Develop and participate in on-the-job training and orientation for department personnel.
• Schedule and/or conduct monthly in-service for department personnel.
• Hold routine departmental meetings.
• Provide education to other departments regarding dietary services.
