Job summary

Regency Redmond Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Redmond, OR is seeking a Dietary Manager to oversee foodservice operations, prepare and serve meals within scheduled times, and ensure adequate food and supplies for residents.

You will train and supervise kitchen staff, maintain safety and sanitation standards, manage inventory, and ensure resident food preferences are honored while meeting regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Role requires ability to obtain Food Handler's card and comply with state health requirements.
• Excellent reading, writing and spoken English.
• Experience in foodservice management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to residents within scheduled timeframes.
• Establish policies for safe food handling, inventory, and storage to meet regulatory standards.
• Train, supervise and motivate food service staff and optimize time management.
• Follow menu cycles and substitutions on proper forms.

As a dietary manager, you will prepare and serve meals, oversee foodservice operation, and ensures adequate food and supplies are available.

You will:

• Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe
• Establish and maintain policies and procedures to address safe practices for food handling, inventory and storage of food and supplies to ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation standards are met.
• The Dietary Manager will train, manage and supervise food service staff, practice time management techniques, and ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction.
• Follow menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions made on proper form
• Clean and maintains a neat, safe working environment, including the kitchen and food service areas
• Comply with state sanitation codes
• Maintain inventory control, places food orders, verifies that items are received appropriately, and restock appropriately
• Ensure that resident food preferences are known and followed

You Currently:

• Have the ability to obtain Food Handler's card. Meet all mandatory health requirements by State regulations
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
