Job summary

Regency Coupeville is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to support our dining room for weekend shifts. You will prepare meals for residents, plate food, and maintain a clean dining environment while following infection control standards.

You will interact with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff, delivering quality service with dignity and kindness. A Food Handler’s card is preferred and English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to obtain Food Handler’s card.
• Lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Demonstrate compassion and interest in serving seniors.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe demeanor.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for residents and fill requests.

• Ensure that condiment and beverage containers are clean and filled
• Assist with food preparation as needed
• Maintain infection control standards
• Plate food
• Wash and sanitize dishes
• Relate and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees

You Currently:

• Can obtain Food Handler’s card
• Read, write, speak and understand English
• Lift and move up to 40 pounds
• Have compassion and interest in working with the senior population
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
